Ok a brief post today, mostly about pictures – we took the train from Salzburg to Interlaken Switzerland yesterday – about 7 hours of train riding to get here, but via Innsbrook Austria – so via the mountains. It was a pretty cloudy and raining passage, but in some places we could see the near tops of the peaks as we rushed by.
Innsbrook was nice, we stopped there for about 3 minutes on the train – I looked out the window once to see a parking lot with cars – so my life experience in Innsbrook is reflected in the Microsoft flight simulator where it’s one of the airports you can fly/in/out of… 🙂

We did stop in Zurich for about 2 hours and found a delicious pizza place in the train station. Gavin (see picture) had to do a class for school – how interesting it is to be able to “dial in” from your phone and do your zoom call while traveling on a train, then sitting in a restaurant. Sure makes me wonder about virtual work in the real world. His new internship in Berlin starts on Monday so they were kicking off the program.

Let’s see other things – Cindy made herself cry from laughter at watching the four of us with our bags get on the train to Interlaken. It was sort of funny as the European folks simply have a very small bag – and ours – while small as they have two weeks of stuff – still seem quite large. Hayden bought a new bag from REI and I think it’s outside of the safe zone for size. We did pack things like shorts, but yet to be worn due to weather – however possibly tomorrow when it’s expected to be 78F here. We will goto about 10k feet tomorrow and do some hiking, so probably not shorts and a chance of hiking in snow.

That’s about it, other Outlaw team members are now down from their hibernation and starting their daily feeding process (aka breakfast). I did make myself laugh this morning at walking into the boys room and opening their window to wake them up. When I was a Scout leader I used to take a metal cup and spoon – banging on the cup with said spoon to wake folks up. I remembered one trip when by about the third day scouts from a nearby tent were yelling “Not the cup Mr. Outlaw, please not the cup…” – made me laugh at that memory.
Ok back to the cup and spoon in my brain I guess.
