Well Singapore is 14 hours ahead of MST, so it’s a bit strange to think at 8 pm here it’s 6 am back home, but we’ll work through it. My Garmin watch has a feature called Jet Lag Advisor and it really helps manage this process- today is my second full day and have made it fully though the day without much trouble. Well Saturday was our last day in Interlaken and we made the most of it starting with Gavin and I doing a paragliding ride from the top of the hill (3,000 ft higher) down to town. Well yesterday we took a pretty cool touristy excursion on the lake that we are basically staying on. Interlaken is very touristy spot, if you want to buy an expensive watch in Switzerland this could be your spot. Ok a brief post today, mostly about pictures – we took the train from Salzburg to Interlaken Switzerland yesterday – about 7 hours of train riding to get here, but via Innsbrook Austria – so via the mountains. It was a pretty cloudy and raining passage, but in some places we could see the near tops of the peaks as we rushed by.
Well the last two days have been pretty fun in and around Salzburg – with mostly rain and cold but occasionally the sun would emerge and offer a glimpse of a warmer place. Cindy coordinated a great cooking class, where we made strudel and pretzel’s – which of course was the best pretzel I’ve ever had.
Well we successfully mastered taking a one way train to Salzburg, although when we arrived at the train itself we found out that our reserved seats were no longer physically on the train – so ended up moving to the economy section – Hayden found a 1st class seat though. It’s a 1.5 hour train ride from Munich to Salzburg, so pretty simple to get here.
Well Gavin is now officially 21 years old today, strange thing is exactly 10 years ago we were at Machu Pichu celebrating his birthday. Today, Munich and a tour of the Olympic facilities, BMW museum, walking through a very long festival, and ending with a very nice dinner in the English Garden.
