Well we’ve walked for 70 miles officially and now have one day left of about ten miles that we’ll finish tomorrow. Our trek has been pretty amazing, today was really a good day – more than we both expected and we cut it a bit short this morning – having our driver take us an extra 4.7 miles so we didn’t have to walk on the road for that time. In the end it was a pretty good walk, finishing at a series of waterfalls, unfortunately with a bunch of down steps to then get into town (like 150) – which stinks on your calves and knees for sure.

For the most part didn’t take many pictures today – lots of empty fields, some sheep some cows. Our trek walked along at about 1,000 feet along the trail and high above the lakes below. This morning there was slight snow on the tops of the mountains – so definitely getting colder. In the end today wasn’t as cold largely since the wind wasn’t present today.

The funny part of the trip is now here – when you’re thinking about “how many pairs of underwear do I have left?” and trying to do the math of “tomorrow, next day, flight day…”. Then you get to the mental spot (a lot like scout camp) where you’re like “ah, no biggie, one more day…” with the turn of clothes day in and day out – getting literally to the bottom of our bags and identifying what needs to go into a sealed bag. That flight back you’re just trying to time the remaining deodorant that’s left so there’s just enough for to last the flight… Unfortunately one of us didn’t time the underwear usage correctly – even with doing laundry and we ended up at the discount store today shopping… (won’t say who messed up though).

After rejoicing about finding underwear, we ended up having a great dinner across the street from our hotel – which is above a bar and it’s Saturday night, so we’ll see how this goes. I’m pretty wiped so my guess it should work out.

If it doesn’t rain tomorrow we’ll have gone our entire trip without getting into a major rain event, so we lucked out weather wise.
